VBS & Camp 7 Oaks 2012
by Pastor David

They are coming! In just two and a half short months, VBS and Camp 7 Oaks will be back in full swing. VBS and Camp give us unique and dynamic opportunities to make young disciples. From presenting the Gospel to teaching Christlikeness, these two special summer opportunities seize our summertime flexibility to fulfill the Great Commission. Our VBS and Camp 7 Oaks are venues to come alongside parents as they point their kids to Jesus. While we are making disciples of kids and partnering with Grace Church parents, we are simultaneously reaching out to parents and homes in our community. That’s a lot to accomplish, even without considering any of the functional details that lie ahead!

What can you do? First, you can choose to join us in prayer. Because our goals for VBS and Camp 7 Oaks are spiritual ones, we must have the Spirit’s powerful work. Will you commit to serving VBS and Camp this summer by praying regularly?

VBS
Our VBS will run in the mornings of June 13-15 at the Muxlow’s. Kristin Harvey will be returning as a director this year. Here’s what we need:

Camp 7 Oaks
Thanks to the Lord’s gracious blessing last year, we are expanding Camp 7 Oaks this year to cover two different weeks. The first, June 13-15, will be for 4th-6th graders. The second, June 18-21, will be a Junior High Camp. Andy and Becky Muxlow will be serving as Camp Directors.

We’ll be needing set up and clean up teams, activity helpers, and more!

Will you pray, and will you volunteer? You can contact Kristin for VBS or the Muxlows for Camp, as well as Pastor David. You’ll be seeing more announcements and invitations and info in the near future, but for now, know the second and third weeks of June are coming and we need you to help make these a success!
