June 22
Speaker: David Morris
Topic: Respond to the Word

David was born in Greenville, South Carolina where he lived until he was six. God was kind to give him Christian parents who loved him and taught him the Gospel, which he believed when he was six years old. His family then moved to Meyersdale, Pennsylvania so his dad could become a lead pastor. David met Cathy the summer after high school, and they got married as soon as David finished college. They moved to Los Angeles so David could get a Masters of Divinity at the Master’s Seminary, where God further blessed their family by adding Silas. The Morrises moved to Kingsburg in June of 2007 to help start Grace Church of the Valley, where he has loved serving ever since as a pastor for children’s ministries and a variety of other roles. God added Raina and Meg to their family since coming to Kingsburg, and the Morrises eagerly await the addition of a son through adoption. David’s favorite Bible books are Romans and Hebrews, his most loved verse Romans 1:16, his greatest praise God’s grace in Jesus, his favorite activies reading and family time, and his life goals are to faithfully love his wife and shepherd Christ’s church until he dies.
